Speakers

Liz Clark, Vice President, Policy and Research, NACUBO

Liz LaPolt Clark is Vice President for Policy and Research at NACUBO and a member of the NACUBO executive leadership group. She has been widely quoted in the press and is a sought-after speaker on how Washington politics and federal policies impact higher education. Liz got her start on Capitol Hill opening Cornell University's first Washington, DC-based federal relations office. Also in her career, she has led federal affairs for the State University of New York (SUNY) System and for Oregon State University. At NACUBO, she heads the team responsible for analysis of federal regulatory and legislative actions, research, and data analytics.

Tadu Yiman, Vice President, Digital Engagement, NACUBO

Tadu Yimam is vice president, digital engagement at the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) in Washington, D.C., where she is responsible for the membership, finance, information technology, and publications portfolio. Yimam has been a member of the NACUBO staff since April 2007. Prior to NACUBO, Yimam served as the manager of public relations at The Endocrine Society and started her career as an Executive Team Leader at Target. Yimam is a proud terrapin having attended the Robert H. Smith School of Business at University of Maryland-College Park majoring in both Marketing and Logistics and Transportation with a certificate in Public Leadership from the College Park Scholars Program. Yimam also completed the Executive Leadership Program for Professional Writing from Georgetown University. She has received several awards and has been recognized for her work in association innovation including the 2022 Association Women and Technology Champion Award, 2019 American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Foundation Innovation Grant winner, 2019 Association Young and Aspiring Professional Award (Association Trends), 2019 DCA Live - Association Innovator Award. Tadu was recently appointed to the Voices for Children Montgomery Board of Directors, Alpha Breast Cancer Support Services Board of Directors, the International Advisory Board of the University Management Program at the European University at St. Petersburg and is a member of ASAE’s Technology Council.

Bryan Dickson, Director Student Financial Services and Education Programs, NACUBO

Bryan Dickson is the director of student financial services and educational programs for the National Association of College and University Business Officers. As part of NACUBO’s Leadership Development team, he is responsible for supporting the advancement of an array of member programs and services. In addition, he is a staff liaison to NACUBO’s Student Financial Services Council, working on behalf of the NACUBO membership to assist bursars and student accounts staff on a national level. Prior to joining NACUBO in 2007, Dickson was a member of the legal and compliance practice at CEB, Inc., a best practice insight and technology company in Washington, DC. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
