2023 SACUBO Special Session RSVP
Session 7D: OUCH: That Stereotype Hurts - Communicating Respectfully in a Diverse World Tuesday, April 25, 2023 | 1:30 PM
Description: This session will discuss a simple act of naming a bias or stereotype by using the word OUCH. OUCH is one strategy for bringing attention to and expressing an objection to this spot-awkward behavior.
Important Note: You must be registered for the 2023 SACUBO Annual Meeting to RSVP for this session. Also, you will need to complete a pre-session assessment for this session. The materials will be sent to you prior to the 2023 Annual Meeting. This assessment should take approximately 35 minutes.
This session only has 50 spots available. Be sure to register ASAP.
Registration Categories
Full Registration (member and non-member): Includes educational sessions, breakfasts, lunches, and special events. It is crucial to provide a valid email address for each registered attendee. Registrants must make their own lodging reservations.
Guest Registration: Includes admission to breakfasts, lunches, and special events.
If you are a first-time attendee, we want to know! Please check the “first-time attendee” box when registering.
Note - - - Badges are required to attend all sessions and events.
Registration Policies
Confirmation: A confirmation will be emailed upon receipt of registration. If you do not receive a confirmation, contact SACUBO at (206) 210-7751 or by email. SACUBO'S professional development programs are often sell-outs. Please secure air and hotel reservations only after confirmation of registration.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellation notices must be received by email. After registering, if you are not able to attend the conference, we encourage you to send a substitute attendee. You may substitute at any time, even on-site at the conference. However, if you must cancel after you have already paid, we can refund your conference fee, less a $75 cancellation fee. All written cancellation requests must be received by April 3, 2023. No refunds will be issued after April 3, 2023. No refunds can be made by SACUBO for lodging, airfare, or any other expenses related to attending the conference.
Substitution Policy: Substitution of a registered attendee is allowed at any time with the authorization of the person who is no longer able to attend. Submit the name of the registrant and substitute attendee's name and contact information by email.
